Elijah Lemaiyan meets president Uhuru Kenyatta after delivering speech in UN conference ,he received standing ovation from delegates.

The school has been under fire from Kenyans after the documentary that was aired on Monday detailing how the institution allegedly rejected Elijah Lemaiyan admission.

The boy’s mother Evelyn Simaloi said her 12-year-old son had already secured admission into the institution and was to be admitted in class six, she was given school fees structure and school requirement form.

After she disclosed to the school her son’s HIV status the institution later allegedly rejected her son saying they have no space for class six students.

To ascertain if there was indeed no vacancy at the institution, KTN’s journalist Betty Kyalo posed as a parent, seeking her child’s admission at Naramat Academy, in the same class Zachary was denied.

The school Principal Mr Odero, assured that there was still space, indicating that they had out rightly rejected Zachary.

The undercover team from KTN took their boy for an interview at the institution and after sitting for an interview and passing they were granted an admission letter in class six.

The school management still maintains that they did not discriminate against Zachary. The issue sparked condemnation from social media, the Kenyans On Twitter under #Stigma Academy, demanded the school to be probed and the head teacher prosecuted.

Atanas posted; We should accept the reality that HIV is real and we live with the infected persons without discrimination.

The intelligent boy who has been studying in Nyawai Academy Nairobi acquired HIV through breastfeeding from her mother, who was raped in 2002. The 12-year-old is the UNICEF HIV champion advocating for children’s rights in the world.

Ms Baraza, in an extensive interview with NTV‘s Larry Madowo, had claimed that Maina Kageni had destroyed her career by claiming that she went to buy “condoms and a vibrator” at the Village Market mall on the day that saw her tussle with a security guard Rebecca Kerubo.

The incident with the security guard touched off public uproar that eventually forced Ms Baraza to resign after a tribunal, constituted on the recommendation of the Judicial Service Commission, ruled that she had brought disrepute to the judiciary.

The seven-member tribunal recommended that then President Mwai Kibaki fires her but Ms Baraza went to the Supreme Court to appeal against the decision. She would later resign before her case could be heard in full.

In her interview with Larry Madowo four years after the incident, Ms Baraza claimed that public debate regarding the incident had been shaped by Maina Kageni’s allegations that she had gone to “buy condoms and a vibrator”.

“Here I am, I went to buy medicine for my son. What did the media say? My discourse was shaped by a man called Maina Kageni. I hear people listen to something called Maina Kageni, I listen to BBC,” Ms Baraza said in the interview.

“Now people were telling me much later that the converastion was that Nancy Baraza had gone to that pharmacy to buy condoms and a vibrator. It was on Maina Kageni. And of course people were enjoying and laughing. By the way that shaped the discourse on me. That Maina Kageni thing, it shaped the discourse,” the former Deputy Chief Justice said.

On Monday, Maina Kageni denied making such allegations on his show and reached out on Ms Baraza for a meeting to clear the air.

” Madam former Deputy Chief Justice, I don’t know who you are talking to but I never said such a thing on my show. I am ready to clear my diary and have a coffee with you, and the person who told you that I said such a thing, in order to clear the air,” Maina Kageni said on Monday.
